“I Don’t Think Nigeria Deserves A 73-year Old President” – Namadi Sambo Says

Vice President, Namadi Sambo has taken a swipeat the age and physical abilities of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Party, APC, Gen Muhammudu Buhari.

He asked Nigerians not to vote  Buhari, in the March 28 election, saying the country does not deserve a leader who is 73. He said this during the solidarity rally by Nigerian sportsmen and women for President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja Saturday morning, Premium Times reports.

Buhari was born on December 17, 1942, which makes him 72, and  73 in December 2015.

Breaking: Three blasts hit Maiduguri Town...

Three blasts hit the northeastern Nigerian town of Maiduguri on Saturday in the worst attack on the city since suspected Boko Haram militants failed in a bid to seize the state capital at the end of January.

A Reuters witness heard the three explosions, all coming in a period of just over half an hour from about midday in a city of some two million people.

Maiduguri is the state capital of Borno, the heartland of the militant Islamist group Boko Haram which has long coveted the city as the capital of an Islamic state they want to carve out of religiously mixed Nigeria.

Obama: Ferguson Police Abuse Not An Isolated Incident Says

President Obama said Friday that although he doesn't think the abuses of power in Ferguson are "typical" of America, there are individuals and possibly whole departments in American law enforcement that may struggle to prevent prejudice in their ranks.

"I don't think that is typical of what happens across the country, but it's not an isolated incident," Obama said in an interview taped Sunday that aired Friday on SiriusXM's "Urban View" channel.

"I think there are circumstances in which trust between communities and law enforcement have broken down, and individuals or entire departments may not have the training or the accountability to make sure they are protecting serving all people, and not just some."

Car Hypnotists Caught In Port Harcourt (photos)

 I have always had my doubts about hypnotism...especially the over recycled type always told by persons who fall victim to scam artists who usually promise quick money or riches. I still believe victims of this unfortunate scam fall under the weight of their own greed than any charm but what do I know.

Yesterday, I witnessed a mob almost torch 3 suspects somewhere in Trans-Amadi Port Harcourt, for scamming a young man of his fortune.

As usual many stories abound of what really happened. Some said the robbers pushed the young man out of the car after robbing him of his money, some said the young man after giving them his money regained his consciousness just as they dropped him off and he came after them screaming thieves. Anyways, I will state the story I saw.

The worker at Sea Life Aquarium in Tempe, identified as Evan Dresler, enlisted the help of colleagues at the facility to have his girlfriend, Jessica, brought to the tank where sharks and eels are kept so he could surprise her by unfolding a sign with his marriage proposal.

Veteran Hollywood star actor Harrison Ford was involved in plane crash on Thursday, March 5, 2015, leaving him injured.

Mr Ford was flying a WW2 vintage plane, crashed on a Los Angeles area golf course. It is said that the plane engine had ‘trouble upon take off’.

However, his injuries are not ‘life threatening’. “He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery”, the 72-year-old actor’s publicist told KABC.

Chibok girls alive – Jonathan says

President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed confidence that the over 200 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram in their hostel   in Chibok, Borno State last year are still alive.

Jonathan, who also said that his chance of winning the March 28 presidential poll was slimmer than in 2011, based his position on the fact that terrorists would naturally   display the corpses of the girls if they had been killed.

He spoke while featuring on Kakaaki, a breakfast programme on a private television station, African Independent Television.

B’Haram kills 68 in Borno...

Boko Haram fighters have killed 68 people in a fresh attack on Njaba, a village in Dambua Local Government Area of Borno State.

A civilian JTF leader said that the fleeing fighters attacked the remote village between Monday and Tuesday morning and torched houses in the community.

Also, a military source said on Thursday that the Boko Haram fighters started shooting into houses in Njaba at about 5.30am on Tuesday.
