Jay Z and Beyonce have solidified their status as music's greatest couple. The final numbers are in for their sold out One the Run tour...and they made $95,978,476 from June 25-Aug. 6 in 16 stadiums.

Beyonce and Jay Z land atop the Hot Tours chart, having wrapped the North American leg of their On the Run tour that played stadiums in 16 markets during a six-week span in the summer. Box office grosses totaled $96 million from ticket sales reported by tour promoter Live Nation for 19 sold-out performances during the summertime trek that kicked off June 25 in Florida and wrapped Aug. 6 in California.

Man organizes friends from Delta state to rob his uncle in Lagos

24-year-old Emmanuel Erherhie, a member of a 6-man robbery gang that was recently apprehended by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja in Lagos has confessed to arranging with his friends to carry out a robbery attack on his own uncle who lives in Festac Town, Lagos.

Emmanuel, who was paraded alongside his other gang members, Joseph Ovologbarho, Innocent Ibe, Victor Ezenwa, Oyoma Akbojiyouwi and James Ukerume, said he arranged for his Uncle to be robbed at his festac home after his uncle kicked him out of his house when he returned from Prison for damaging someone's car. 'I’m free from Ebola, but now I’m jobless' fiance of late nurse says

Dennis Akagha, the fiance of late nurse Justina Ejelonu who died from the deadly Ebola virus, says he's currently being stigmatized for being associated with the deadly Ebola disease. In an interview with Punch, he said he's faced stigma from people on his street, artisans and most recently his work place.

Dennis who was working as a marketing officer in an oil company before his fiancee contracted the disease, says he no longer works there. He said after he left the isolation center, his office refused to pick his calls or communicate with him. Excepts from the interview after the cut...

Why P-Square do not live with their wives

The cyberspace went agog when performing twins, P-Square revealed on a radio station that they do not live with their wives. The twin brothers have been living together virtually all their lives. During the radio programme, the singers also hinted that they would move to their separate houses in December, 2014.

FG denies hiring Australian terrorist negotiator, Stephen Davis

Nigerian politics and its marveling cunning!.....The Federal government of Nigeria has issued a statement today denying ever hiring "can of worms" opener/Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis.

In a statement through the Coordinator of the National Information Center, Mr Mike Omeri, today Sept. 5th in Abuja, FG said;
"For now nobody has been hired by the government to negotiate on its behalf with Boko Haram. Anytime the government decides to do so, it will make it known to the public.

Joan rivers to be buried on september 7

Comedienne and Fashion police star, Joan rivers will be buried on September 7th, 2014. A funeral for rivers will be organized at Temple Emanu-El in New York.

The late ribcracker died yesterday, September 4th after suffering a cardiac and respiratory arrest during a throat surgery last week.May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Ogwuche denies knowledge of Nyanya bombing

The alleged mastermind of the Nyanya bombing in Abuja earlier this year, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche has denied knowledge of the attack.

According to Marilyn Ogar of the department of state security (DSS), Ogwuche maintained that he was in Sudan when the incident ocurred, stating that he was not a member of Boko haram and had no links with them or the bombing.

NATO to announce 4,000-strong rapid reaction force to counter Russian threat in Ukraine

3rd American Ebola patient arrives U.S for treatment

The third American doctor to be diagnosed with the Ebola virus arrived Nebraska about an hour to begin his treatment. Dr Richard Sacra (pictured above) contracted the deadly virus while working in Liberia. Dr Sacra wasn't treating Ebola patients when he was infected.

Twin boys stabbed to death by their brother who then killed himself

9 year old twin brothers Patrick and Thomas O'Driscoll were stabbed to death yesterday September 4th by their older half brother Jonathan, 20, who then killed himself about an hour later. Read the full story below...
Nine-year-old Patrick and Thomas O’Driscoll were dressed in their school uniforms when found dead in separate bedrooms by their younger brothers, aged three and five.
Their half-sibling Jonathan, 20, sped from the scene in Charleville, Co Cork, and was discovered hanged 15km away. 
The tragic boys’ parents Tom and Ellen were shopping in nearby Kilmallock, Limerick, at the time.A security source told the Irish Mirror : “It was a frenzied attack, the boys were stabbed multiple times. It’s understood there are psychological issues involved.”

Wickedness : How woman ate flesh and blood of her grandson(photo)

Crazy things happen everyday but this one is bizarre! This is the utmost form of pure wickedness!I have not seen a relative do this to another relative...it's evil!

A woman in Niger state has been arrested for killing and consuming the flesh and blood of her grandson. Leadership reports that the incident occurred at Doso Village in Doko District of Niger State.
The woman known as Fatima Saraka Mohammed slaughtered her nine-year-old grandson, Mohammed, shared his roasted flesh and drank his blood in connivance with two other people in an apparent act of cannibalism. When quizzed by police officers, the woman confessed that the act was done to satisfy her witchcraft spirit. Continue

Maiduguri youths march against Boko Haram

Thousands of youths on Thursday thronged the streets of Maiduguri   protesting   against the increasing spate of attacks on Borno State by Boko Haram.

The youths, who first assembled at the popularly Ramat Square Ground, later moved to the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar   Elkanemi, saying they were willing to confront the terror group if given the go ahead.

They said they were at the palace for Elkanemi’s   blessings which, according to them, would give them success when fighting the terror sect. Continue....

Rivers buries remains of late doctor in P’Harcourt

THE Rivers State Government said on Thursday that the remains of the late Dr. Iyke Enemuo, who died of the Ebola Virus Disease, had been buried in Port Harcourt according to the requirement of the World Health Organisation.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sampson Parker, said this while speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt. He explained that Enemuo had been buried on Wednesday alongside the woman that shared the same hospital ward with him.

400 People Under Surveillance For Ebola In Rivers State

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control Project Director, Dr. Abdulsalami Nasidi, has said that the health ministry is monitoring about 400 people in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for signs of Ebola after they came in contact with a Port Harcourt doctor who died of the disease but hid the fact that he had been exposed.

Nasidi said this on Thursday in Geneva, saying that there is a sense of “hopelessness” due to the lack of proven drugs or vaccines to treat Ebola that has infected 18 people in the country.

 Esama of Benin, Sir Gabriel Igbinedion will turn 80 on September 11th and a month long celebration which will stretch around three continents has kicked off in Benin. Colourful activities to mark his birthday started in Benin last week and today he went to University of Ibadan for the launch of his biography written by four professors from University's department of History. It's said to be the first honour of its kind by UI. From Ibadan, the party will move to South Africa, then there's a party in London and the US.

Court freezes Dangote's accounts in 20 banks

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered 20 Commercial banks in Nigeria to dishonour all withdrawal cheques from Mr. Sani Dangote, younger brother to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and his companies, Dansa Foods Limited and Bulk Pack Services Limited.

Justice Okon Abang, who made the order on Thursday in a bench ruling, said the order subsists till September 11, 2014 when the court would entertain all applications in a suit brought by Union Bank Plc against Dangote and his companies. Continue...

CDC reveals Ebola can still be transmitted sexually months after recovery

The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) has spent the last decade or two trying to convince people to wear condoms during sexual intercourse in order to reduce the risk of HIV transmission. Prior to that, it and other public health authorities had spent many decades trying to get people to wear condoms during sexual intercourse to reduce the risk of acquiring gonorrhea or syphilis. And well before that, for at least 400 years, the condom was a popular form of birth control worldwide.

Photos: Indian girl Marries Stray Dog in Bizarre Wedding Ceremony

 An 18-year-old Indian girl has married a stray dog as part of a tribal ritual designed to ward off an evil spell.

DailyMail reports that Mangli Munda, from a remote village in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand, wed the canine in a lavish ceremony. The wedding was hastily organised by village elders after a local guru led Mangli's parents to believe that the teenager possessed ill-luck and that marrying a man would bring destruction to the family and her community.

Photos : 3rd American missionary infected with Ebola identified

51 year old doctor, Rick Sacra is the 3rd American missionary to be diagnosed with the deadly ebola virus disease.

Sacra is a close friend of previous American ebola patients, Nancy Writebol and Kent Brantly. He contracted the virus in Liberia, where he was helping deliver babies with missionary organization SIM USA. Sacra remains isolation at a hospital in Monrovia,Liberia pending when he will be airlifted to the US for treatment.
