Update: 20 Killed as Female Suicide Bomber Blast Maiduguri Market

A suicide bomb blast at a poultry market in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, Saturday, has killed at least 20 people and injured 18 others, witnesses have said. Members of the local vigilante, known as the Civilian JTF, told PREMIUM TIMES they saw 20 bodies after the attack.

 The bodies were counted as the Civilian JTF fighters arrived the scene to help with rescue effort. Our sources did not want to be named for security reasons. The explosion, less than six weeks after the same market was attacked by suicide bombers, occurred at 12:20 P.M. Nigerian time, residents and security officials said.

Photos: Ethiopian aircraft crash lands at Ghana airport Today

An Ethiopian airline cargo aircraft traveling from Lome, Togo to Accra Ghana this morning skidded off the runway as it arrived the Kotoka Airport in Ghana. According to a press statement by Ghanaian aviation authorities, the three crew members survived the crash and are currently receiving treatment at the 37 military hospital.

The reason for the accident has not been stated but eye-witnesses said bad weather could be a contributing factor. More pics after the cut...

President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday during a rally in Enugu said that the All Progressives Congress candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), cannot remember his own mobile phone number.

Police Searching for Men Who Tried to Buy 2 Year old Boy for $100 (Pictured )

Police are hunting for two men (pictured above) who tried to buy a toddler from his mother for $100 at a California supermarket, Daily Mail reports.

Police said the unidentified woman, 34, was in the check out at a Baja Ranch Market in Covina at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when they were approached by at man.
