Corpses of Two Students Found in Osun River....

Corpses of two students of Ifeolu Secondary School, Osogbo, were yesterday found floating on River Osun by a woman who had gone to fetch water.

The incident threw the people of Ijetu area of the town into confusion.

Though what led to the death of the students could not be ascertained at press time, a resident of the area told Vanguard the woman, on discovering the corpses, dropped her bucket and ran to the street, where she raised an alarm.

Former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) has restated the resolve of the Niger Delta warlords to make Nigeria ungovernable if President Jonathan fails to return as president in next month's general election.

In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Mr Paul Bebenimibo, in Warri yesterday January 29th, Tompolo attacked Gen Theophilus Danjuma for calling for his arrest alongside Asari Dokubo and other Niger delta warlords. He said the treaty that merged the Northern and Southern protectorate of Nigeria expired last year and everyone should be grateful to President Jonathan for keeping Nigeria together. PDP steals N100 from every litre of kerosene – Gov. Oshiomhole

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Thursday accused the Peoples Democratic Party-led Federal Government of duping Nigerians by selling kerosene N150 per litre instead of N50.

Oshiomhole, who said this while receiving defectors from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress in Benin, the Edo State capital, also said that Nigerians had been suffering since the PDP assumed power 16 years ago.

This, he said, was because of the PDP’s dedication “to preserve the privileges of the few.”

Oshiomhole said the Federal Government had been doing this by not allowing the masses to enjoy the benefits of the natural resources bestowed on the country by God through shady subsidy deals on petroleum products.

Praise God! Guys, Omonigho Abraham, the four year old boy who was attacked by dogs in the Igando area of Lagos State, has returned into the country from an India medical trip.

Omonigho returned into Nigeria on Thursday, yesterday, with his father, Odia, and mother, Helen, who went with him on the trip.

Last year, October 7, 2014, the young boy was attacked by two dogs at their house on Adegboyega Street, Akesan Estate. Omonigho was playing with his two brothers, Osemudiamen and Bobby, when the dogs, owned by their landlord, pursued them.

We Saw Helicopters Dropping Arms, Food For Boko Haram -Suvivors Says

Displaced residents of Monguno, in Borno State, which was recently taken over by Boko Haram, have said they saw helicopters dropping arms and food items for the insurgents in the bushes.

According to Leadership.ng, The IDPs, who said they spent about 48 hours in the bush running towards Maiduguri, expressed worry that the Boko Haram sect was not the only ones involved in the insurgency, but that there are many foreign fighters and some external supports.

 Leader of the Nigeria Vigilante Group in Monguno, Muhammed Sani,50, said he had, on several occasions, spotted unusual delivery of items in big wooden boxes by air, and sacks being dropped in the bushes around Marte and Monguno where Boko Haram terrorists were camped.

Woman Kills Husband With an Ax After He Refused to Have Sex with Her...

 Mawaza Police said that they arrested 48-year-old Evelyne Ndlovu, after using an ax to kill her husband, 56-year-old Rhodes Maphosa, because he refused to have sex with her, Worldwide Weird News reports According to the police investigation, Ndlovu began arguing with Maphosa in the afternoon when he refused her sexual advances.

 After several hours of arguing, Ndlovu went to sleep in the bedroom while Maphosa fell asleep on a couch in the kitchen. Around 2:00 a.m., Ndlovu woke up, took an ax and attacked her sleeping husband. Maphosa died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
