Ehen: Pastor's Wife Accuses Husband Of Stealing Church Funds, Pleads For Divorce...

Christiana Oladoyinbo, wife of the Pastor in charge of the Pentecostal Power and Authority Ministry Worldwide, Lagos, is now seeking divorce from her husband, Kayode Oladoyinbo, on the grounds that she can no longer live with him because he is a thief who stole the church funds.

Christiana says she wants the court to annul the 11 year old marriage that has produced three children because of the shame her husband puts her through everytime he gets arrested.

Aside from the accusations of theft, Christiana also told the Ojo Customary Court that her husband was cruel to her, lacked care and was fond of beating her at the slightest offence she made.

In response to the accusation, Pastor Oladoyinbo said he has accepted his wife's position as regards to the divorce but strongly denied being a thief.

He said that he was also fed up with the marriage and accused his wife of being wicked. He told the court about an incidence which happened in 2009 when his wife poured kerosene on him with the aim of setting him ablaze, before he managed to escape.

On another occasion, he also said that his wife attempted to kill him with a knife, but he was able to overpower her and take the knife from her possession. He further claimed that she had even threatened to burn down his church and kill him in the process.

He alleged that the threat prompted him to report the matter at the Morogbo Police Division, and she was subsequently arrested. During the interrogation, the wife allegedly confessed that she actually threatened to attack the church, but that she was not serious about it.

“I want this divorce. I am tired of my wife, her constant quarrels and lack of respect for me, my ministry and my family,” Pastor Oladoyinbo said to the court finally.
