 Popular radio host, Charles Bruce Chukuma, aka Chaz B is dead. The shocking news has been confirmed by colleagues. Chaz had a history of kidney health problems and underwent a successful kidney transplant a few years ago. Unfortunately, he suffered a kidney failure this morning and that was the end. So sad news. Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode in a press conference today in Umuahia , Abia State has called on the Federal Government to sue Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi for treason. While recalling what the Governor said in his recent media remarks where he allegedly said the opposition would form a parallel government if President Jonathan wins the 2015 presidential election amounts to treason.

“When you look at  the comments made by my old friend, Gov. Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State, I am alarmed, I am deeply disturbed and discouraged. He said that if PDP comes back in 2015 that not only would they make the country ungovernable, they would also set up a parallel government, and that there would be anarchy in this country.”

Poverty pushed us to kill Electoral Commission boss – Suspects (PICTURED)

Two robbery suspects, still cooling off at the detention centre of the Department of State Security, Bayelsa State Command, have confessed to the killing of the Administrative Secretary of Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission, Chief Simeon Akpane.

The suspects, Freedom Allen, 26; Clarkson Okilo, 27, popularly known as Oyoyo, said they killed the BYSIEC ranking official because they were broke and had no jobs.

In their revelation, they said they had set out to rob on the fateful day, October 10, 2014, with nobody in mind, however, Akpane’s flashy Sport Utility Vehicle seemed to have given him away as a rich man.

The speaker, in a statement released by his media adviser, Imam Dalhatu, says he's ready for any invitation by the police. Find his statement below...

The attention of the Hon Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal CFR, has been drawn to publications in the media to the effect that the Inspector General of Police has ordered that he, Speaker, be invited to the Force Headquarters and that he be arrested if he resisted.

The Honorable Speaker wishes to state that he is a law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who has no immunity against arrest and prosecution except privileges as may be provided by the Legislative Powers and Privileges Act.

The cleric was said to have hired a gang of kidnappers for a fee of N2m, out of which he made an initial deposit of N50,000 for the abduction of Igbo over an alleged land dis­pute and chieftaincy title
of Eze Agu Nechenba 1 of Ikpoeze 1 of Arondizuogu community in Imo State.

The operation, which went awry, led to the death of the for­mer council boss who was thereafter buried in a shallow grave in a thick forest at Lokpanta, Abia State by his abductors.

 After barely two seasons on television, "The Queen Latifah Show" has been cancelled. TMZ sources say the staff was brought into an office on Friday morning and given the news. A New Lady is Claiming Bill Cosby Assaulted her When She was 15 (PICTURED)

A former Bill Cosby co-star has become the latest woman to make sexual assault allegations against the comedian, claiming he drugged her and sexually assaulted her when she was a 15-year-old aspiring actress.

Mother-of-three Renita Chaney Hill, according to DailyMail, appeared alongside Bill Cosby in his children's educational show Picture Pages. and she says the pair had a relationship for four years during the 1980s while he paid her college tuition.

The 47-year-old from Pittsburgh said she would be flown to different cities around the country and
when they stayed in hotels, he would insist she had a drink, even though she was still in high school.
She told KDKA she believed that is when he drugged her as she did not remember anything until she woke up the next morning.

Ndi Okereke-Onyuike’s Cousin Arrested for Raping Undergraduate (PHOTO)

This is quite shameful! A 300 level UNILAG female student, named Arionla has alleged that she was raped by a man, identified as the cousin of former Director–General of the Nigerian Stock Ex­change(NSE), President, Ndi Okereke-Onyuike.

And according to her, the suspect, Prince Daniel Okereke, 37, lured her into his home at Mende, Maryland, Lagos, on November 6th, subdued her with the aid of his security guard before pouncing on her and raping her severely. Narrating the story to Saturday Sun, Arionla said:

“When we got to his house, I told him that I was not interested in having sex with him, 

he called two of his security guards to help him to tie me up and seal my mouth. He then brought out his belt and started flogging me.”

Impeachment: Ekiti Speaker drags PDP lawmakers to court

The embattled Speaker of the Ekiti State Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin, and his deputy, Tunji Orisalade, have approached an Abuja Federal High Court for the restoration of all their rights and privileges.

The duo were impeached on Thursday by 10 persons who sat in the chambers, among whom were three individuals whose identities have remained unknown.

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party’s caucus, Mr. Dele Olugbemi, who had acted as pro tem Speaker during the controversial Monday’s plenary was elected as the new Speaker.

Police May Arrest Tambuwal

According to a new report on Punch, the police may arrest the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, over Thursday’s crisis at the National Assembly in Abuja. Sources told Saturday PUNCH on Friday in Abuja that the Inspector- General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba, had ordered that the Speaker should be “invited” over the crisis.

The Department of State Services was said to have given a similar order asking that the Speaker
should be invited by any of its commands. This was sequel to information that Tambuwal was sighted in Sokoto State on Thursday evening where had gone to pick the All Progressives Congress governorship expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2015 governorship election.

Newtown shooter's history reviewed in new report (Photo)

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut agency that investigated the background of the socially isolated, violence-obsessed man who carried out the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School is issuing a report on his mental health and educational history.

The Office of Child Advocate investigates all child deaths in the state for lessons on prevention. In the case of the Newtown shooting, it said its report will focus on the gunman, Adam Lanza, and how his "personal, educational, mental health and medical trajectory can inform public health systems."

A portrait of the shooter and his fascination with mass killings has emerged in thousands of pages of police documents: Authorities found violence-lanced writings and an arsenal of weapons in the Newtown home where he lived his mother and spent long hours playing shooter video games.

The very disturbing 35 second video showing the man beating a screaming woman repeatedly with a huge chunk of wood was posted to Youtube a few days ago. California man may walk free next week after 36 years in prison for 1978 murderz(Photo)

A California man who spent 36 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of first-degree murder could be free after a court hearing next week, prosecutors said.

Back in 1980, Michael Ray Hanline was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 1978 shooting death of a biker named J.T. McGarry.

But new DNA testing of evidence collected from the scene does not match the now 68-year-old man’s or that of his alleged partner in crime, according to prosecutors.

 Na Wa....From jumping the fence to now trading words. I don't know exactly what's going on between these two governors - Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state and Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State. Yesterday Governor Oshiomole blasted Governor Fayose saying;

"If the Ekiti Governor is too lazy to read and too politically illiterate to know what is happening in Edo State House of Assembly, we expected his psychedelic media aides to simply shut their loud mouths rather than behave like capering neophytes."

120 Lawmakers Sign President Jonathan’s Impeachment Notice As Deputy House Leader Pleads

More than 120 lawmakers have appended their signatures for the impeachment of President Goodluck Jonathan, immediately House reconvenes in December, Vanguard reports.

Mohammed Zakari, chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, while reacting on it said “the notice of impeachment was not on the order paper today but I’m not foreclosing that some other things took place.”

On his part, Leo Ogor, deputy House Leader who urged members to jettison such plans, argued that the notice of impeachment is inconsequential, as the President had no hand in what transpired at the National Assembly.

Robbers Attack Bullion Van,Cart Away Millions of Naira

Armed robbers attacked a  bullion van at Elemoso village along Ondo-Akure Road in the Ondo East Local Government Area of the state.The robbers were said to have looted the bullion van and escaped with undisclosed amount of money.

The bullion van and the escort vehicle were found ridden with bullets in the incident which was said to have occurred at about 4.50pm on thursday , while the robbers made away with the cash supposedly belonging to United Bank for Africa.

An eyewitness told Punch Metro that policemen that escorted the bullion van were caught unawares after the armed robbers rained bullets on the police escort vehicle and the bullion van simultaneously.
