So the fact that you all lost your primaries is a gargantuan sign that the system does not see you as worthy representatives of the Nigerian youths.

Lacking proper ventilation, electricity supply was the only means to keep the temperature within the room normal.

Brazilian Man Murdered Over 40 People Just For The Fun Of It (Picured)

A man who could be one of Brazil's most prolific serial killers has confessed to murdering more than 40 people.

Sailson Jose das Gracas told reporters at a police station he killed for pleasure and an adrenaline rush.

He said he murdered for the "fun of it", according to officers.

Das Gracas, who has been described as a psychopath by police, said he preferred to kill white women, whom he allegedly strangled.

Ugandan Maid who Savagely Beat Baby Found Guilty of Assault (Photos)

The Ugandan maid, Jolly Tumuhirwe, who was secretly filmed beating a little girl under her care has been found guilty of assaulting the toddler. The abuse came to light when the child's father, Eric Kamanzi, installed a hidden camera in his home after noticing his daughter was bruised and limping. The graphic footage showed Tumuhirwe hitting the child when she resisted feeding and then throwing her to the floor, beating her with a torch before stepping on her and kicking her.

BBC reports that Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, had told the court she had been driven to attack the 18-month-old because the child's mother had beaten her - something the mother denied. A video of the assault caused outrage when it was posted online. Earlier charges of torture were dropped against Tumuhirwe after prosecutors said they could not be easily proven.

 Check out these incredible photos which show an astonishingly well preserved 1,000 year old mummy which will soon be going on public display for the first time.

The woman, who died aged 50, was mummified in the foetal position and buried in the ancient settlement of Pachacamac, near Lima, Peru. Her remains were discovered in 2012 and have been kept in storage ever since in exactly the same state in which she was found. Meet the 10 year old boy who beat a 90 year old woman to death (Pictured)

How do you, at just 10 years old, beat someone until they die? At 10? That's exactly what Tristen Kurilla from Pennsylvania, (pictured above) did. He beat a 90 year old woman until she died.

He is currently being held in the adult jail as he awaits trial. He is the youngest person ever to face a murder charge in Pennsylvania.

Here's what he did. Tristen was visiting his grandfather in October this year. According to what he later told police, he entered the room of 90 year old Helen Novak who lived with his grand dad on Oct 11 to ask her a question. He said Helen screamed at him and told him to leave her room. He said he lost his temper, picked the woman's wooden cane and attacked the woman who sitting in her bed.

Scores of piled-p corpses Ebola corpses discovered in Sierra Leone (Photo)

Health officials in Sierra Leone have expressed fears of a further spread of the Ebola outbreak after scores of piled-up corpses were discovered in the eastern district of Kono.

The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that it had uncovered a “grim scene” in the diamond-rich area.

The WHO added in a statement released on Wednesday, December 10  that within the space of 11
days in Kono, "two teams buried 87 bodies, including a nurse, an ambulance driver, and a janitor drafted into removing bodies as they piled up".

It’s now official. Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.) is the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate for the February 2015 election.

He defeated four other APC aspirants –Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Rochas Okorocha and Sam Nda-Isaiah – to clinch the party’s ticket at a national convention/primary that started on Wednesday in Lagos and ended about 7pm on Thursday.

Kids Abducted by Maid were Found Abandoned in Sagamu, One Traumatised (Photo)

We all received the great news yesterday -  three-year-old Rafael and his 15-month-old brother, Michael Esharegharan, who were  abducted by their 25-year-old housemaid, simply identified as Juliet, have been found.

The young boys were found in the Sagamu area of Ogun State, abandoned near the Sagamu Police Station on Thursday. Passersby in the area had alerted the police to the presence of the children. And according to an uncle of the children, Mr. Darlington Abuda, one of the kids is currently traumatised.

The police in Lagos have said the 29-year-old photographer, Ejeh Smith, who was brutalised by a policeman attached to the Ikoyi Police Division along with his wife, Grace, was drunk on the night of the incident.

The police authorities added that the couple engaged the policeman in a scuffle, adding that since the incident happened, they had refused to make statements to the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, told PUNCH Metro that the police had, however, detained the erring policeman, Dada Ogunsanya, assuring members of the public that justice would be served.

A teacher has been suspended from a school in Poland, after a terrifying attack on a young student. Jadwiga Piotrowska- who has been teaching for twenty years, reportedly flew into a rage when 12-year-old Kuba began having an epileptic fit during her class.

Horrified pupils at the primary school told Closer that the teacher began throttling Kuba, screaming at him to stop. 'At first we didn't know what was going on and thought it was some sort of joke,' one pupil said.

Sad: 100 Nigerians deported from Finland yesterday

No fewer than 100 Nigerians were deported from Finland Thursday December 11th after failing to get asylum. According to The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the deportees included women, children and whole families. They arrived at the Cargo Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, at 7a.m. aboard cargo airline - Privilege Gourment.

A deportee, Mr Isaac Ejiofor, told NAN that he had no criminal records in Finland and wondered why he was deported after spending over one year in the asylum camp. Ejiofor said he was earlier in Greece but later travelled to Finland to seek asylum in a bid to get a permit to work there.

How Buhari Won The APC Presidential Primaries...The Full Details...

Former Head of State, General Mohammadu Buhari has won the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He polled 3,430 votes to get the ticket.
His votes outnumbered those of Kano State governor, Dr Rabiu Kwankwanso and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who got 974 and 954 votes respectively.

While Owelle Rochas Okorocha got 624, Sam Nda-Isaiah scored 10 votes as16 voided votes were recorded. This is also the case with the three other contestants of the party’s presidential ticket whose votes were deciphered to be slim during the sorting of the thumb-printed ballot papers.

The Nigerian police have arrested a 13-year-old girl that was wearing an explosives-packed vest in the northern city of Kano, hours after an attack by two female suicide bombers.

Vanguard reports that the girl turned up at a clinic on the outskirts of Kano hours after a double bombing at a market in the city.

“The people there called the attention of security personnel who found explosives primed for a suicide attack on her,” said a security source, who requested anonymity, in an account confirmed by a nurse at the clinic.

Operatives at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Lagos, are currently investigating two robbers, allegedly invited by a housemaid to rob her boss (names withheld) in Magodo Estate, Lagos State.According to reports, the housemaid, simply identified as Mary, connived with the robbers, identified as Ikong Daniel, 22, her lover, and Pius Dennis, 20, to rob her boss a few days after she was employed.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that Mary took them into her boss’ bedroom, where they stole her money, gold jewellery and other valuables.However, trouble started when the maid escaped with the proceeds of the operation. Coroner Dismisses TB Joshua’s Application to Halt Building Collapse Inquest....

 Lagos State Coroner’s Court on Wednesday dismissed an application filed by the registered trustees of the Synagogue Church of All Nations and its founder, Prophet Temitope Joshua.
The applicants had asked the court to stop proceedings on its ongoing inquest into the September 12th building collapse of a guest house within the church premises.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 116 persons were killed after the six-storey building collapsed.

The applicants had asked the court to stop proceedings on issues relating to calling of witnesses in respect of the building approval or material tests of the collapsed building.

Robbers Kill Pastor While Raiding In Benin

THE pastor in charge of Evidence of the Gospel Church, Benin, Godfrey Agbonwaneten, has been killed by armed robbers in Okhunmwun community, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

Vanguard reports that the cleric,who was in charge of Oko branch of the church in Benin, was shot in the early hours of Tuesday by armed robbers, who raided parts of the community.

According to his wife, Jane, the robbers gained entry into their apartment by removing the burglary and the window louvers.

I Seek A Nigeria Where Christians And Muslims May Practise Their Faiths In Peace - General Buhari

In a letter he addressed to the delegates at the APC convention, Wednesday,  in Lagos, Buhari said that insecurity, corruption, and economic collapse have brought the nation low. He also stated that He wants to see Nigerian Christians and Muslims practice their faith in peace.

Here are excerpts from his letter:

“I do not intend to rule Nigeria. I want to democratically govern it with your help. I seek a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims may practise their faiths in peace and security; a Nigeria that is just and where corruption no longer trespasses into our institutions and national behaviour and a Nigeria where our diversity could be used for our national prosperity.” 

President Jonathan picks Namadi Sambo as his running mate for 2015 election....

President Jonathan has picked VP Namadi Sambo as his running mate for next year's elections. The President made this known at the PDP Presidential Convention that held at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

President Jonathan who was ratified as the party's presidential candidate having won all 2,812 delegates votes at the convention, told party faithfuls in his acceptance speech that he had picked his "tested and loyal" Vice President as his running mate. Rumors were rift a few months ago of the possibility of Jonathan dropping VP Sambo and picking another person as his running mate.

ISIS have thrown a man down to his death for being allegedly gay. The shocking images posted on the jihadi website shows about 8 men on top the roof as they flung the man down.

Goodnews Femi Falana Offers to Take Up Police Brutality Case on Husband and Wife for Free

There has been widespread outrage after the action of a policeman, Dada Ogunsanya, who allegedly brutalised a photographer, Ejeh Smith and his wife, Grace, in the Lekki area of Lagos State went viral yesterday. And among those that have called for the sanction of the power drunk police officer and DPO is human rights lawyer, Femi Falana.

PUNCH had reported yesterday that Ejeh and Grace were going home in a taxi when Ogunsanya and six other police officers patrolling the area flagged down their cab at the Lekki Roundabout.The policeman asked the cab driver, Ndubuisi Iheaka, to open his boot for a routine check. He allegedly asked the couple to alight the cab when they asked him to stop flashing his torch on them since the vehicle’s inner lights were on.

Landlady’s Thugs Kill Carpenter over N200 Debt (Pictured)

A 27-year-old man, Michael Abodurin, has been stabbed to death by hoodlums called by his landlady, Mrs. Idowu Adenekan, in the Oworonsoki area of Lagos. And according to PUNCH Metro, problem had started after the deceased’s friend could not pay back the N200 he borrowed from the landlady last year.

It was gathered that after it dawned on the landlady, Adenekan that the debtor would not pay the debt, she allegedly unleashed her thugs on the carpenter and his friend. In the process, Adenekan was killed. A bottle was smashed on Adenekan’s head after which he was stabbed with a pair of scissors in the chest. He died before he could get medical help.

 A man named 'Lye' has written about his experience confronting a stranger at a Detroit Lions football game, after he claims he saw the man's very pregnant girlfriend 'romantically texting' another man throughout the match. At the end of the game, Lye handed the man a note revealing the alleged adulterous text messages, and later posted pictures of the note and the couple to Facebook.

The images have since gone viral and are now sparking a heated debate online about whether it's appropriate to wade into a complete stranger's relationship.

Court orders IG, SSS to confiscate Obasanjo's new book...(Photo)

A High Court in Abuja today Wednesday December 10th ordered the Inspector General of Police, Director-General of State Security Services and Controller General of Nigeria Customs Services to confiscate Obasanjo`s book, 'My Watch' from public vendors, NAN reports.

Justice Valentine Ashi, gave the order after former President Olusegun Obasanjo allegedly went ahead to publish his book titled “ My Watch’’ in spite of a court order made on Dec. 5, restraining him from making the publication.

"I am of the view that the defendant having gone ahead to publish the book, he should therefore show cause within 21 days of the order served on him on why he should not be punished for contempt of court.

Bomb blast Hit Kwari Market in Kano

An explosion has gone off at one of the busiest locations in Kano, residents and security officials have told PREMIUM TIMES.

The blast occurred at a place known as “filling parking” at the Kano Kantin Kwari market. Details of casualty are still sketchy at this time but the military has rushed to the scene, and condoning off the area. The incident is coming less than two weeks after multiple explosions rocked the Kano Central Mosque, killing more than 100 people  and injuring hundreds of others.
