Two young men who reportedly stopped an Isis suicide bomber entering a mosque in Saudi Arabia are being hailed as heroes after being killed when he blew himself up. 

The friends, named as Mohammed Hassan Ali bin Isa and Abdul-Jalil al-Arbash, died after reportedly turning the attacker away from the Imam Hussein mosque in Dammam

11 killed as military foil Boko Haram invasion into Maiduguri...

A family of five and 6 other individuals were among those who were killed in a gun battle between Boko Haram members and Nigerian troops in Dala, Borno state yesterday May 29th.

According to reports, the terrorist, who came in their numbers, had tried to invade Maiduguri, the Borno state capital but met a strong resistance from the troops stationed in the area. Many residents were seriously injured as they tried running to safety. The troops repelled the attack.

End Of Romance? Paris bans lovelocks, to remove all existing ones

Sorry romantic lovers heading to Paris, the Love Lock Tradition is about to be wiped out. The city of Paris has decided that to end the tradition of tourists coming over and dumping bits of metal all over its bridges, starting from Monday, the padlocks will be removed from the Pont Des Arts & plexiglass panels will soon replace the grills. The Pont Des Arts has been the most popular bridge with up to 1 million locks thought to be attached to the railings. The City has however had enough.
According to the council in charge, the locks are causing ‘a lasting degradation of the heritage of Paris and also a risk to the safety of visitors.

President Buhari to Earn N14 million as Annual Salary, Allowances

Nigeria’s new president, Muhammadu Buhari, and his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo, will earn annual basic salaries of N3, 514, 705 and N3, 031, 572.50 respectively, according to the information on the website of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.

The RMAFC is statutorily empowered by Section 32 (d) of Part 1 of the Third Schedule of the Constitution to determine the remuneration appropriate for political office holders.

Apart from the salaries, the president is entitled to various regular allowances like:

• Hardship, 50 per cent of the basic salary – N1, 757, 350.50; 
• consistency – 250 per cent, N8, 786, 762.50.

Mrs. Victoria Ambakadrimo, the 28-year-old woman that stabbed her husband, Late Barr. Henry Gagariga, to death with a kitchen knife on the throat around 11pm of Wednesday, February 4 after a quarrel in Bayelsa has finally appeared before a state high court in Yenagoa for the first time. 

The presiding judge, Justice A.S Rotimi, adjourned proceeding to 18th June 2015, to enable the prosecuting (the state) hand over certain forensic evidences to the defence counsels before hearing commence.

In a series of shocking allegations that have left his parents heartbroken, a 21-year-old undergraduate, Demilade Osholonge, who was initially reported as kidnapped, has accused his father and mother of engaging in occultism which he alleged was behind the many spiritual attacks he had been experiencing since he was 17.

Demilade spoke with Punch in hiding, maintaining that he would never return home to his father, Mr. Fatayi Osholonge, a lawyer and his mother, Olufunke, who is an evangelist.

How Suicide Bomber Killed 6 at Wedding in Borno Today

The Borno Police Command today said six persons were killed by a sucide bomber, who attacked a venue of a wedding ceremony in Tashan Alade in the Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Opadokun, who addressed journalists , it was revealed that 30 other people were also injured during the attack.
