Boy Who Met Jesus in Heaven During Near-Death Experience Issues Major Revelation (Pictures)

 A little boy who penned a best-selling book claiming that he ascended to heaven and met Jesus during a near death experience in 2004 is recanting his story, claiming that he made it up in an effort to seek attention.

The startling admission from Alex Malarkey, whose story was told in the 2010 book “The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven,” written by both him and his father, Kevin Malarkey, has led publisher Tyndale House to pull the text from print, NPR reported.

The revelation emerged this week after Malarkey reportedly sent a letter to the Pen and Pulpit blog in which he pointedly admitted that the story was concocted.

“I did not die. I did not go to Heaven. I said I went to heaven because I thought it would get me attention. When I made the claims that I did, I had never read the Bible,” he wrote.

There are alleged reports that Ibime Belema-Jonathan, a 24-year-old native of Nembe, Baylesa, announced on Twitter yesterday that he is one of the president's illegitimate sons.

"According to Belema-Jonathan, his mother was a receptionist in a Port Harcourt hotel (which shall remain undisclosed) when she met Goodluck nearly 25 years ago. Their relationship was made private because of the risks it posed to Goodluck's then fledgling political career. He has decided to disclose this information after recently being informed by his mother, who had just passed away. It is his desire for his father to assume and fulfill his fatherly duties after a lifetime of absence."

Comedian Basketmouth - "I Can't Cancel My Show because of Nigeria's Election"

Popular comedian, Basketmouth, sparked a debate online on whether his action was right or wrong when he posted a picture of his annual UK Valentine’s Day show on his social media page recently. Fans took him up whether he wanted to be absent during the forthcoming general election. They opined that being a role model, he should perform his civic duties.

However, in a chat with Saturday Beats, the comedian says it's not possible for him to cancel his show because of the election. According to him, the event had been planned long before the election date was announced and if he cancelled the show, he would lose millions of naira. Basketmouth said:

TRAGEDY! Man Beheads Wife, Daughter, Commits Suicide in Ogun

Tragedy struck on Wednesday at Onigbedu town in Ewekoro Local Government area of Ogun State when a 46-year-old farmer, Sunday Olubusayo, beheaded his wife, Oyewole and their three-year-old daughter, Esther, before committing suicide.

PUNCH reports that the police spokesman in the state, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, said no one could tell the police what could have led Olubusayo to murder his family members and commit suicide. But he said that investigations showed that the couple had a quarrel before the incident. He said:

 “After beheading his wife and daughter, Olubusayo stabbed himself, set himself ablaze and tried to jump inside a well but was prevented by neighbours. He later died in the hospital of fatal wounds he had inflicted on himself.”

Some people have said that the grading system in private schools is too generous and unrealistic unlike what obtains in public schools. Do you see any difference in their products?

The grading system is the same. It’s just that we pay for our comfort in private schools, which enhances our performance. Those things that could make learning very conducive and stress-free are already provided for us, and we pay for them, so we tend to do better. For instance, some public schools pay N15,000 as tuition fee while some private schools pay up to N700,000. Whatever we pay already covers power supply, water supply, accommodation, equipped and functional laboratories, etc, and an enclosed environment where not just anything goes, unlike in public schools where those facilities are not always readily available and the teaching and living conditions are not good enough. The attention and care we get in private schools cannot be compared to what we have in public schools.

Politicians are liars –Pastor Enoch Adeboye

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday has said he does not trust politicians.

Adeboye spoke in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, during a two-day interdenominational prayer.

According to the cleric, politicians in most cases hardly fulfil their promises.

POVERTY: This Mother and Son were so Poor They Hanged Themselves with the Same Rope

A very,very poor woman and her son fed up of scraping a living decided to kill themselves - but they were so poor they hung themselves with the same rope.

The shocking story happened in the village of Jasenica in western Bosnia where 83-year-old Dusanka Lukac lived with her 55-year-old son Brane Lukac in abject poverty.

Neighbours said they knew that the mother and son were struggling but the situation was also the
same for many others in the region and there was little opportunity for anybody to help them. Nevertheless they were shocked when the couple had hung themselves using the same rope.
