This is what happened to a South Carolina man after he was caught red-handed allegedly raping his nephew’s girlfriend in a bedroom at a home in Conway, South Carolina on Thursday January 1st.

The nephew, whose identity is being kept from the media, reportedly found 52-year-old William Mattson (pictured above) on top of his girlfriend and he responded by beating the heck out of him. You can see the result of the brutal beat down in the suspect’s mugshot.

30 Bodies Now Recovered from AirAsia Flight; Some Still Strapped to their Seats..

 Search teams hunting for the wreckage of AirAsia Flight 8501 have pulled 21 bodies from the Java Sea today but are struggling to locate the plane's black box recorder amid rain and rough water.

According to DailyMail, today's total is the largest of the search so far, the number of bodies recovered has now risen from nine to 30, as dive teams say some were found still strapped into their seats.

We Are Not With Buhari’s Original Copies Of Certificates — Army

Few days after the former Head of State and Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, retd, explained in an affidavit submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that all his academic credentials were with the Military Board, the Army have stated that they do not keep the certificates of any serving or retired officer or soldier.

General Buhari is contesting the presidential election for the fourth time under different political parties including the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party, ANPP and the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, but the issue of his qualifications had never been controversial until the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, recently described him as a ‘’semi- illiterate.’’

Former Enyimba midfielder Romanus Orjinta has been found dead at his home in Enugu. According to AfricanFootball.com, Orjinta was found dead on New Year’s eve by neighbors who had noticed his absence. No other information surrounding his untimely death has been received.

Until his death, the tough-tackling central defender was a coach. He was capped by Nigeria at full international level and posted a brief stint in Norway in his playing days. He was aged 33 years old.

Akin Akinbobola, an aide to Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, may be in serious trouble after he allegedly assaulted one of his female workers, Funmilayo Alao-Kwabe in his office in Akure, the state capital.

According to SaharaReporters, Mr. Akinbobola, who is the chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), allegedly gave Ms. Funmilayo a brutal beating after the two had a row over salary increment at the agency. The alleged victim heads a maintenance department at the agency. An eyewitness told a SaharaReporters correspondent that the ODSFA chair beat his subordinate so severely that he inflicted a serious neck injury on her.

Nigerian Army Dismisses 203 Soldiers after Secret Night Trial...

The Nigerian Army has dismissed 203 soldiers after a secret court martial held in the dead of the night, for allegedly disobeying a direct order from their commanding officer.

According to Premium Times, one of the sacked soldiers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the soldiers were dismissed for asking for support equipment, following the army’s plan to convey them in a tipper for an operation in Bama and Gwoza, two strongholds of Boko Haram insurgents.

The soldier, who is originally of the 19th Battalion in Okitipupa in Ondo State, but attached to the 7th division in Maiduguri, said the army detained them for over 90 days before dismissing them after a
mid-night trial. He said they are owed up to five months in unpaid salaries.

Mario Cuomo, a son of Italian immigrants who became an eloquent spokesman for a generation of liberal Democrats during his three terms as governor of New York but couldn't quite bring himself to run for president, has died. He was 82.

Cuomo died Thursday of natural causes due to heart failure at his home, the same day his son Andrew started his second term as governor, according to a statement released by the administration. He was surrounded by his family.

Man decapitates mother with axe on New Year’s Eve (Photo)

 Christian Gomez, 23, (pictured left) has been arrested for decapitating his own mother's head with an axe on New Year's eve at her home in Tampa because she asked him to put some boxes away, Florida police say.

His brother called police to report the gruesome scene and when the police arrived, they discovered the headless body of 48 year old Maria Suarez-Cassagne (pictured right) near some garbage cans. Christian, who is said to be schizophrenic and has a history of mental illness, had fled in a bicycle before the police arrived but was arrested a few blocks away from the home.

‘President Jonathan, Buhari can’t end Nigeria’s woes’

The Chairman, South-West, Nigeria Advance Party, Mr. Tosin Odeyemi, has said that neither President Goodluck Jonathan nor the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) can end the challenges confronting the country if any of them wins the presidential election holding in February.

Chibok schoolgirls’ parents blast President Jonathan

Two-hundred and sixty-two days after their daughters were kidnapped from school, some of the distraught parents of the students of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, on Thursday criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for not fulfilling his promise to rescue the girls from the custody of Boko Haram.

The abduction of the 219 girls from their hostel at night on April 14, 2014 has attracted global outrage and the President had promised several times that the girls would be rescued alive.

Former PDP National Chairman, Audu Ogbe will on January 4th, inaugurate the sale of five million tubers of yam donated by farmers to raise N5 billion for the Buhari/Osinbajo presidential campaign.

MIRACLE: 16 Year Old Gives Birth to Triplets in Delta State...

A 16-year-old girl, Helen Ezeh, in Delta State has given birth to triplets.

 Reports say she delivered the babies in Owhelogbo community, in the Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.
