Hilarious moment disabled World Cup fans were caught jumping up from their wheelchairs(Photo)

In a hilarious moment of truth, two fans who claimed to be disabled and on a wheel chair were overcome with  excitement during Brazil’s opening game of the World Cup,jumping to their feet for a better view.

The reason for the deceit may be related to the fact that ,Fifa has cheaper tickets specifically for pensioners, students and disabled fans.Disabled spots are even more valuable because they come with a free extra ticket so wheelchair-users can come with a companion.

In total, police in Brazil are now investigating 22 CCTV images which appear to show fans who have arrived at stadiums in wheelchairs standing up during the games..

Graphic Photos: Notorious Terrorist, Mallam Husaini, Shot Dead By Military

A notorious terrorist who has led serial attacks on security personnel, Mallam Husaini has died in an encounter between his group and a military convoy along Jos – Bauchi highway.

Defence HQ, in an official press release today, reports that Husaini who leads a cell of the terrorists billed to operate in the Plateau is known to have led an attack on Headquarters, Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Abuja in November 2012. He also led the attack on military convoy moving from Lokoja to Kaduna where 2 soldiers were killed in January 2013.

The terrorists gang had attacked a military convoy while on an operational patrol between Jos and
Bauchi. At the end of the encounter, the Ford bus used by the terrorists was captured, 8 primed Improvised Explosive Devices, rifles, pistols and about 70 rounds of ammunition.

Evil: Fraudsters Kill Ex-Customs Officer And Her Daughter

The suspects, Ahmed Sholotan, Olatunji Azeez and Waliu Akinniyi, arrested over the murder of ex-customs officer and her daughter.

A suspected fraudster, Alhaji Olatunji Azeez, has allegedly killed a 64-year old retired customs officer, Angela Uzo Kery and her adopted 10-year-old daughter, Obiagulum after selling the victim’s landed properties.

Azeez was arrested with two alleged accomplices by the police at Oko Oba Division under Area ‘G’ Command, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, after the missing victims was traced to him during investigation. It was alleged that the suspect offered N9 million bribe to the police to persuade them not to proceed with the investigation but it was turned down by the officers in charge of the investigation.
During interrogation, Azeez allegedly confessed to the police that he deceived the customs officer that he was a spiritualist and told her that her family members were after her properties.

#SEE $227million Abacha loot recovered from Liechtenstein

There was a reason corruption charges was dropped against Mohammed Abacha, the eldest son of late former Nigerian Head of State, Gen, Sani Abacha. $227million stolen money has been recovered from the Abacha family. On June 25th Nigeria will receive $227million from the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Europe, as the nation is said to have agreed to release the stolen money.

AFP reports that the federal government said today Thursday June 19th that it dropped the charges against Mohammed in a deal to allow the return of the Liechtenstein money.
Mohammed Abacha is wanted in the US for his alleged part in laundering $458m in funds stolen by his late father and frozen by the U.S in February. Abacha, who died in 1998 and is believed to have stolen up to $5 billion.

Mother Stabs Herself to Death after Watching her Son Die During the Lungu Abuja Demolition

Entrance into Abuja yesterday was shut down and pandemonium took over on the popular Kubwa-Zuba expressway after a woman and her son tragically lost their lives during the demolition of Aluguyi Village, popularly known as Lungu Village in the FCT.

According to angry natives, some Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) officials, in the company of well armed military personnel, had stormed their community at about 10am and started demolishing houses along with their belongings, not minding if people were inside or not. A demolition they said was unannounced and totally inhumane.

An eyewitness, Mr. Joshua Iyah, told reporters:

“During the demolition, a primary school boy came home from school tired and hungry, not understanding what was going on, he entered their house to change from his school uniform and as he was still inside the house, that was when the bulldozer demolishing their house and blocks fell on the boy.

An angry man has stabbed his friend to death in Olodi- Apapa area of Lagos State for allegedly raping his younger sister.

LEADERSHIP reports that trouble had started when the girl, identified as Miss Usims, ran home and reported to her brother that his friend raped her when she was sent on an errand last Sunday.

The following day, when the suspect accosted his friend in the company of his father, Mr Usims, and his brother, on Price Fadina Street, a war of words ensued and further degenerated into a fight between the accused and the Usims. In the ensuing scuffle, one of the Usims, identified as Samuel, allegedly stabbed the suspected rapist in the neck with a screw-driver.

# President Jonathan To Unveil Centenary City#

President Goodluck Jonathan will perform the ground breaking of the Nigeria Centenary City project on June 24, Information Minister Labaran Maku said on Wednesday in Abuja.

Maku, who said this when he briefed newsmen on the outcome of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting, added that the city was in commemoration of the country’s centenary celebration.

#Italy to repatriate 700 Nigerian prisoners#

Nigeria and Italy would soon conclude negotiations on a Prisoners Transfer Agreement to facilitate the return of over 700 Nigerian prisoners serving in various prisons across Italy.

Italian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Fulvius Rusticu, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja.

Rusticu said Nigerian and Italian officials would meet in the first week of July in Rome to finalise the agreement and possibly work out modalities for the immediate return of the prisoners.

The ambassador explained that under the agreement, Nigerian prisoners who qualify for the transfer must return home to complete their prison terms.

Photo: 60-year old Nigerian woman gives birth through IVF (MIRACLE)

60 year old Mrs Omolara Irurhe (pictured above) who had been looking of a child for over 30 years reportedly gave birth to a baby girl this past Monday June 16th through the Invitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment at a Specialist Hospital in Lagos.

The Nation reports that Mrs Irurhe, who has been married for 31 years, started the IVF treatment in 2010 and said her faith in God and her believe in modern medicine helped her go through the process, after many years of childlessness in marriage. She said her husband, Mr Adekunle Irurhe’s Catholic belief of one man one wife made him not to marry another woman and stood by her through all the years.

“I believe we should not limit God and what the doctors can do in this modern age. I believe this is the appointed time. I was very hopeful throughout the years I was childless and I remained focused on God. We went to many hospitals but we didn’t give up,” she said

Police Officer Slumps in Anambra after being transferred to Borno

A Police officer reportedly slumped yesterday after following a directive by the Inspector General of Police,transferring him to Borno State.

Another passenger boat capsizes in Lagos, one missing

A passenger boat carrying ten passengers capsized in the afternoon of Monday June 16th in Lagos. According to passengers on the boat, which was heading to Coconot Island from Tincan Island, waves from bigger boats passing around them at the time caused the boat to lose balance and capsize.

And despite the fact that all the passengers were wearing life jackets, one person drowned and his life jacket was seen floating around. Other passengers were rescued. The body of the missing person is yet to be recovered.

This incident occurred barely a month after another passenger boat capsized around the Bonny Camp bridge in VI, killing 25 year old LIB reader, Claire-belle Udodirim Edozie .

Tension in Bayelsa as prostitute stabs soldier to death

Fear has gripped commercial sex workers in Bayelsa State after one of them allegedly stabbed a soldier attached to the Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Pulo Shield to death for refusing to pay for a daybreak sex romp.

The soldier whose name has been kept under wraps was reportedly stabbed twice in his stomach by his sex partner from Edo State identified simply as Bini girl.

The incident, which occurred at about 4am on Tuesday, caused panic among other prostitutes at the popular redlight district known as Hospital Road Junction along DSP Alamieyeseigha Way, Yenagoa.
