FIFA sacks newly appointed NFF chairman

FIFA has stated that it will not recognize Chris Giwa as the new NFF chairman,warning him and his associates to stop parading themselves as such.Speaking through it's secretary-general, Jerome Valke, the football body gave Nigeria a September 1 deadline to remove the newly appointed NFF executives or risk another ban.

“We will not recognise the outcome of the above mentioned elections and should there still be per­sons claiming to have been elected and occupying the NFF offices at midnight on Monday 1 September 2014, we will bring the case to the appropriate FIFA body for sanctions, which may include the suspension of the NFF,”Continue....

Giwa and his execu­tives resumed office on Wednesday and the following day paid a cour­tesy call to sports minister Tammy Danagogo, who endorsed their election. If nothing is done soon, Nigeria will be banned for the second time on one year.
