Update on Taiwo Oshadipe's death

Fans of popular singer, Taiwo Oshadipe, have expressed shock following the news of her death on Friday. The dark-skinned lady, who was a member of the group, Oshadipe Twins, shot into limelight with the song, Dide Olorun mi, alongside her sister Kehinde.

Ever since news of her death broke, fans have been posting condolence messages on her Facebook page. However, the cause of her death had not been made public by her family as of the time of filing this report.

Saturday Punch learnt that the singer recently gave birth to her first child and also celebrated her birthday last month.

One of her friends on Facebook, Daniel Enny, wrote that he could not believe she was dead.

“I heard of your sudden exit and was left with tears. I saw you two Fridays ago and can never believe you are gone today, bye,” Enny posted on her wall.

Jolaoso Bode also expressed surprise by the sad news, saying, “How can this be true now, how? How can Taiwo be dead?”

Another fan, Adejoke Adeyanju, who sympathised with the Oshadipe family especially her twin sister, said the deceased would be missed.

She wrote, “From Him we came and to Him we will all return. May God give the Oshadipes the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Oshadipe Kehinde, I share in your pain. Sleep on the right side of the Lord, Taiwo.”

Taiwo last updated her Facebook page on October 1, 2014, wishing her fans a happy Independence Day.

The singer, who was fond of posting prayers on her Facebook page, thanked her fans for sending her birthday wishes. Her last prayer on Facebook was, “Whatever you do, Lord! Please don’t take your joy from me!”
