3 boys kill friend by forcing him to swim in river because he spoke to their girlfriends (Photo)

Three boys were arrested on charges of murder after forcing their friend to swim in a river until he drowned, police in Japan said. Kariya Police said that the three high school kids forced the 15-year-old boy to swim in the river because they were jealous that he spoke with their girlfriends. According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Saturday night.



The suspects admitted to kicking and punching the victim along with 7 other boys. After beating the victim, the three boys allegedly forced him to swim in the dark river, which is about 90 feet wide in the area, saying that he would be forgiven if he could swim to the other side and return. The victim took off his clothes and started swimming. At some point, the boy sank underwater and never emerged. Police are still searching for the boy’s body.
