President Jonathan signs criminal justice bill into law

The Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015 has been signed into law by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Presidential Media Adviser, Dr. Reuben Abati, disclosed this to State House correspondents on Thursday.

Recall that the bill which aimed at addressing the problem of delay in criminal cases was passed by the Senate last week.



According to Abati, President Jonathan signed the document on Wednesday, the same day he received the bill from the National Assembly.

He said, “The President has signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015.

“He signed it the same day he received it from the National Assembly.

“With that development, the bill is now an Act”.
