Man, 20, Dies After Mom’s Boyfriend Stabs Him Over Sneakers: cop Says

A 20-year-old man died after his mother’s boyfriend stabbed him over a pair of sneakers in the Bronx Tuesday night, police sources said.

Malcolm Jacob was fatally stabbed in the chest after accusing his mom’s sweetheart of stealing his shoes in her apartment on Merriam Ave. near W. 170th St. in Highbridge around 10:10 p.m., the sources said.

Cops say Jacob’s mom watched in horror as her beau plunged a knife into her son’s chest once before he fled the scene.



Paramedics rushed Jacob to Lincoln Medical Center but he could not be saved.

The suspect remained at large early Wednesday.
