PDP warns Kalu: Don’t intrude in our affairs

The Chairman of the Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party congress ad hoc committee, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya, has warned former Governor Orji Kalu to stop meddling in the affairs of the party.

Ogbonnaya, who was reacting to a media report that he was handpicked to rubberstamp the anointed candidate of Governor Theodore Orji for the governorship primaries, accused Kalu of sponsoring the said media report.

He argued that Kalu was not a member of PDP, hence, he has no business meddling to the party’s internal matters.

Ogbonnaya, however, cleared the air on the misconception about his committee, explaining that the committee was inaugurated to conduct election for members of the ad hoc delegates who would join statutory delegates at the governorship primaries, and not to organise the primaries as erroneously reported in some sections of the media.

He accused Kalu of twisting facts and propagating falsehood about the work and scope of the committee, advising the former governor to concentrate his efforts on his party, the Progressive Peoples Alliance.
