Son of Benin Monarch, Prince Osama Erediawa Resigns and dumps APC for PDP (PHOTO & VIDEO)

The son of the Oba of Benin, Prince Osama Erediauwa has resigned from the government of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as Executive Director, Edo State Governor’s Office.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the Executive Director, Mr. Desmond Igunbor said the resignation decision by Prince Osama Erediauwa came after a critical assessment of the recent happenings in the state especially the State House of Assembly.

The statement noted that there is a violation of the principle of separation of powers between the arms of government, a situation which it said has plunged the state into deep crisis.

:It said that there should be regard for the rule of law in which the governor is a beneficiary.

The statement said leadership at all times must be by example and described the actions of the executive as a gross abuse of power bestowed by the good people of Edo State.

The numerical strength of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State has been strengthened following defection of the son of the Benin Monarch, Prince Osama Erediawa who was until now the Executive Director, Government House.

Best Mbiere who was at the ceremony quote the State Chairman of PDP, Chief Dan Orbih as saying that the desire of the PDP to reclaim the number one position in Edo State is not negotiable.
